Ray K. Metzker was an influential American photographer, born in 1931 and passing in 2014. Known for his innovative approach to black and white photography, Metzker's work often explored urban environments through stark, experimental cityscapes. His unique style is characterized by the use of high contrast and geometric compositions, which he frequently assembled into large-scale works known as Composites. These assemblages of printed film strips and single frames showcase his ability to transform everyday scenes into abstract visual narratives.
