Rhys Ziemba is a painter and musician in Brooklyn, New York. His interests include object-oriented ontology, quantum physics, optics, and classical literature. In his paintings of objects, people, objects as people, and people as objects (usually lit by a single harsh, interrogative clamp light) he pokes at the intersection of documentation and story-telling. His paintings are not supposed to be still-life but rather a depiction of physical and metaphysical events in a very particular place in the universe (usually his basement studio).
