Born in Panama City, Florida during the summer of 1981, Stephen Eakin received a B.F.A. from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and an M.F.A. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 2007. He has exhibited nationally in cities such as Minneapolis, Reno, Berkeley, Sacramento, Nacogdoches, Ruston, and New York City. Stephen has shown at spaces such as Jeff Bailey Gallery in Hudson, Rosalux Gallery in Minneapolis, Axis Gallery in Sacramento, and Rogue Space in New York City. He spent the summer of 2011 with the touring exhibition group Non Solo, and has mounted solo exhibitions at Louisiana Tech University, the University of Nevada Reno, the AC Institute in Chelsea, New York City and Honey Ramka in Bushwick, Brooklyn. He currently works out of his studio Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and can be found regularly participating in the annual Greenpoint Open Studios.
