Biography

Guillaume Grando aka SupaKitch was born in 1978 in Paris. Deriving from his artistic career he becomes a globetrotter, therefore he works in Biarritz, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico and Paris with his native american, poetic and romantic inspired universe he has already ornamented walls globally. Raised with mangas and hip-hop culture, passionated by art, music and board culture since his childhood, SupaKitch found in the streets and the nature a large choice of mediums and sources of inspiration that flourish in his work. His first graffiti dates back to 1990. In the early 2000s when he began to present his works to the public, the name SupaKitch was born. He has signed some very interesting and successful collaborations with Carhartt, Volvo, Renault, Ikea, Daroco and Converse, to name a few. As a fashion lover, SupaKitch together with his wife Koralie, created their own label, Metroplastique, and won the prize "Young Entrepreneur of Fashion" in 2005. At the time he started collaborating with art galleries in Paris, Miami, New York, Taipei as well as Taiwan. SupaKitch is a multidisciplinary artist brimming with ideas ; he has created his own universe with a harmonic mix of sensible lines and textured colors with multicultural, travel adventures and elements influences easily identifiable by his gold leaves signature. The last SupaKitch exhibition at Kolly Gallery « On My Wave Home » shows new level of maturity which is visible in his artwork and also in the materiality. SupaKitch is not only an artist on canvas and resin but also on skin. His tattooing skills are globally well known and SUPA-desirable !
