Biography

My name is Tim Hugunin, I am a self- taught artist that likes to create abstract works of art. I like to use acrylics, oils, alcohol inks, and wax. I paint on a lot of different mediums from canvas, wood panels, and tar paper. I’m always trying to find a unique medium that will add additional texture to the artwork. I really enjoy exploring different painting techniques that allow me to build texture and depth into my paintings. The world is constantly changing around us, so I try to reflect this in my artwork. Life is full of challenges along with opportunities when the moment arises are you going to take advantage of it? Art will mimic this changing dynamic so I believe it’s my responsibility to reflect this in my artwork. Growth seldom happens without change, it causes us to examine the good/bad within ourselves. This self-exploration is the basis for my artwork, the paintings are always changing in shape, size, texture, depth, style, and color. This pattern of change is the similarity that I find in all my artwork as it allows me to learn and grow as an artist.
