Biography
I am a native of St Petersburg, Florida. Attended Tyler School of Art, Temple University (MFA printmaking), and Florida A and M University. The majority of my training has been in printmaking. but I choose to work in many art media. I choose to do figurative pieces most of the time. My art is inspired mostly by social issue by what I see, feel, and experience. I like to create art that provokes thought and requires more than a 30-second look on the museum walls. Most of the work I choose to create relates to social themes and being an African American female. My work reflects on stories about the human condition both past and present.
