Biography
Vaclav Bostik was born in Horni Ujezd near litomysl, (Czech Republic). He graduated from the High Technical School in Prague - (1933-1937) - and the Academy of Art in Prague, (1937-1939,1945 Prof. Mowak). Bostik’s first one-man show occurred in 1957 and he participated in a collective exhibition in 1937. He has been a member of Umelecka Beseda (Art discussion group) since 1960. In 1960 he and V.Bartovsky founded the art group UB12. Bostik was a member of the Art Union New group from 1988 until 1990. His works are in state galleries in the Czech Republic and in private collections. His works are in state galleries in Czech Republik and in private collections.
