Biography
Vincent Tavenne was born in Montbéliard/France in 1961. He received the scholarship from Deutsch-Französisches Jugendwerk (1987), the Piepenbrock scholarship for young artists for sculpture (1998) and the Villa Romana Prize, Florence (1999). His works include, among other things, expansive, often textile sculptures, but also wooden sculptures – some of which can be walked on –, display cases, objects made of papier-mâché, large-format woodcuts and small-format watercolors. He is represented in numerous private and public collections. Vincent Tavenne lives in Berlin.
