Biography
Since his very young age, Raluca Vulcan has a passion for painting and drawing. Born in Romania, her parents didn't want her to become an artist despite her talent and encouraged her to continue in their footsteps. However, after her high school diploma, Raluca left Romania for France and began a course in advertising. After her first professional experience as a graphic designer/model maker, then computer graphic designer in video games, she decided to give up the idea of working in a company and wanted to devote her career to painting. She addresses many themes in acrylic: nudes, portraits, urban landscapes...For the latter, Raluca Vulcan really tries to absorb the place for a long time before painting and takes pictures of them. Her realistic creations are a lot like impressionist painting, with recurrent pictorial touches, but the artist doesn't lose her freedom for accomplishment. Between 2007 and 2012, Raluca Vulcan received around twenty awards for her creations. Moreover, she exhibits her work regularly in galleries.
