Warren Salter
Biography
Born in the small rural town of Smithton, Tasmania, Warren remembers drawing and painting from a very early age, winning many awards during his school years and beginning his commercial artistic career during high school. An apprenticeship in sign-making and graphic design, followed by running his own sign factory, enabled him to maintain a secure income while gaining the confidence to render large canvases along with solid design and brush skills. A move to Noosa enabled a career transition to full-time artist and developing his own style with contemporary flora and surrealist landscapes. Warren has now been painting full-time for nearly twenty years and still resides in and is inspired by Noosa and its vibrant community of artisans.
