Yevgeniya Mikhailik is an artist, educator and curator. In her studio practice she explores the enduring physical and emotional connection between people and the natural world, and our methods of interpreting it and identifying with it. Mikhailik has exhibited extensively throughout Southern California, as well as New York, San Francisco, and Rome. Her work has been highlighted by KCET Artbound, LA Times, Art and Cake, Hi-Fructose, OC Weekly, Orange Coast Magazine, OC Art Blog, CMYK Magazine, and has appeared in several other publications and exhibition catalogues. In 2016 she received the Emerging Artist Award from Arts Orange County, and in 2017 was awarded Best Curator by the OC Weekly. She teaches in the Illustration program at California State University, Long Beach.
